Get Knitting – Purl, Rib, Bind Off

Hooray, you can knit! Now it is time to learn to purl and bind off so you can make ribbing and take a project off your needles. You will be able to show off your new skills with a simple washcloth/dish towel project that we will start in class. Grab your needles and get ribbing!

SUPPLIES YOU SHOULD BRING:

• Worsted weight yarn in a solid color (nothing fuzzy or textured; recommend Cascade 220 Superwash Merino or similar)
• US size 8 straight knitting needles (recommend bamboo or plastic because they are “grippy”)
• Scissors or snips
